Description

This Cupcakes Basics Class will take you from the making of your cupcakes, manufacturing your own delicious buttercream to decorating your cupcakes. You will be shown various piping techniques including classic and rose swirls, and grass effect using a variety of piping tubes. You will be shown how to colour the buttercream you have made and ways to produce a two-tone and edge finish. Whilst your cupcakes are cooling you will then work with gum paste to make floral arrangements using the popular ‘blossom art’ cutter and mould sets plus many others edible decorations. We will be showing you how to colour and dust these embellishments and how the cutter can be adapted to produce wired samples. We will be using plunger cutters to create textured leaves and delicate butterflies to complete your various designs. You will produce six cupcakes which you can take home to impress your family and friends. This class is open to anyone over the age of 15yrs.

  6. A Clark

Most enjoyable day. Have never been able to make flowers that looked or even resembled what it was meant to be. The 7 hours flew and to be honest I wish we had more time. Only critism was having a lady in the class who didn’t realise this was not a 1.2.1 for her only ! I thought the tutor (Lynda) did an amazing job and taught us all with patience and experience. My flowers were beyond my expectations and I can only put that down to the knowledgeable and vast experience the tutor had. Thank you for a very rewarding day – ill be back

  7. Heather
