Introducing our Covering a Cake Mini Class, where we provide the tuition and use of basic equipment and you provide the materials. This ensures lower priced classes, expert tuition and support. Unlike online tutorials, you tube and alike you get the benefit of a personal tutor who can help and advice during the whole process. No more Stop, Rewind and trying to work things out yourself. Anyone wishing to purchase materials from our sister company will receive Student discount on our competitive prices.

The objective of this lesson is to show the student how important the preparation of your cake is important to ensure a professional flawless finish. We will discuss the various options of Sugarpaste on the market, how to colour Sugarpaste if required and what professional equipment is really necessary to get the results professional achieve. A class not to miss for any beginner Cake Decorating hobbyist.

You will prepare your own sponge base ready to cover with Sugarpaste. You will then cover your prepared cake with Sugarpaste. Anyone wishing to make the professional Swiss meringue buttercream can do so after class as a 1.2.1.

A list of requirements will be sent on enrolment or emailed in advance if required



The use of all our professional equipment.


1kg professional sugarpaste, Trex, 8″ round Dummy, 10″ round cake drum and box to transport home safely, food colouring of choice, (1 metre of 15mm ribbon, 1 metre of narrow ribbon to compliment, double sided sellotape and an apron. Antibacterial wipes and kitchen towel. Face Mask


This course is held in our new teaching facility The Studio. Free Car parking is available very nearby.
