PLEASE NOTE: This course runs for the whole week and we will only have six places available. Also as this course caters for children we will provide the use of most equipment, however materials will not be included.

Having successfully run this course with pupils from a local school we are giving our younger students the opportunity to gain a professional and internationally recognised Diploma in the Art of Cake decorating. On this course you will learn: basic techniques, coating, crimping and embossing, fabric effects, textured drapes, frills and ribbons, bows and sugar embroidery, modeling fun figures, textures, inlay and appliqué, stacked cakes, design and handling, designing celebration cakes and colour balance, basic business guidelines and copyright and license.

This course is held in our new teaching facility The Studio. Free Car parking is available very nearby. We are situated within yards of the local bus station and taxi rank, with only a five-minute walk to Atherstone train station (with an hourly service seven-days-a-week to most locations including London and Crewe). Based in the heart of the Midlands Atherstone is on the main A5 national route and close to the M42 motorway, allowing easy access to Birmingham Airport. The Studio offers an informal relaxed atmosphere and as we only cater for small numbers, it ensures you will get a very close and personal teaching experience. Our class only caters for a maximum of eight students, ensuring you get individual attention in intimate friendly surroundings.
Please be aware that no materials are provided on this course, however we do allow students to use our equipment during class time. Please note this equipment cannot be lent to practise during home time but can be purchased at student discount rate if required.
The five day schedule will be sent on application showing the lesson plan and items required. A minimum of 5kg sugarpaste, both 8-inch round and square Dummy with 11-inch drums to match.
Please note this is a PME course and as such we expect all students to use only PME equipment when required. The use of counterfeit equipment will not be allowed. The full 25 hours tuition must be attended, and all homework produced to the standard required to pass this diploma.
